i'm no superwoman

Right after we turned off the lights and I kissed Caitlyn goodnight, I went downstairs to finish some work. It's half past nine. About an hour later, I heard Caitlyn crying so I rushed upstairs. The little girl was crying hard and complaining that her ear hurt. I had to calm her down and put her back to sleep. She laid down very close to me as if she didn't want me go anywhere. I had to stay with her for about 30mins until she fell back to sleep. When I felt that she's back in slumber, I quietly sneaked out of the room hoping she'd not wake up and her ear would not hurt anymore.

Now, I'm back in front of my laptop - trying to finish some work and send some files which I promised my boss I'd send to him tonight. It's almost 11pm... still working.

Not that I'm complaining.

But again, I'm still human.. I do still feel tired... and drained...

sushi day

Had lunch at Sakae Sushi at MOA today. Caitlyn enjoyed watching the conveyor belt sushi and can't stop pointing which one we should take.. akala yata libre!


MyLove and I love Japanese food, but it was a first sushi-go-round experience for me and I sure had lots of fun. I would definitely come back, but will make sure it's between 2-6pm so I can have their sushi buffet!

And when we thought Caitlyn's birthday season was over, we got a call from my mom the other day that her Ninang Eryll from Virginia sent something for her..

She just loves her new Dora so much!

I'm just a little worried.. Dora may start having falling hair in the next few days...

Caityn's 3rd Birthday Party

We celebrated Caitlyn's 3rd birthday at Shakey's Magallanes last March 30th. As usual, it was very well attended and everyone had so much fun. We had a Sesame Street themed party this time.

Caitlyn had a difficult time blowing her birthday candle. Dad, Mom, Kuya Fonzy and Kuya Neekee had to help her do it :)

And of course, Caitlyn's most favorite part... opening of presents!

Thanks to everyone who attended the party. Hope to see you again next year.. that is if we throw another party for Caitlyn for her 4th birthday! :)

busy!

Friday night and I'm still working at home.. crazy busy, really! I'm hoping to to relax and enjoy my weekend so I'm finishing work that I need to do.

Well, I still have a few minutes left before Saturday. Better get back to work and try to wrap things up :)

missing mommy

I've been very busy with work the past few days. Last night, mylove and I went out with some friends and went home really late. Caitlyn was already asleep when we arrived home and was still sleeping when I left for work this morning.

When I arrived home this evening, Caitlyn greeted me the moment she saw me parking the car. I heard her shout, "Mom, you're back!" And when I got in to kiss her, she said, "Mom, I'm so glad you're here" and hugged me.

Made me want to quit my job and just stay with Caitlyn all the time.

How I wish....
